Studio Director, Modern Multiples

Sessions:

Richard Duardo and his Modern Multiples

The Los Angeles art scene has been greatly influenced over the last several decades by "The Warhol of the West", Richard Duardo. Since his first studio Hecho en Aztlan to his last living studio Modern Multiples founded in '99, Duardo worked with the likes of David Hockney, Keith Haring, John Van Hamersveld, Carlos Almaraz, Chaz Bojorquez, Shepard Fairey, and Banksy. Besides influencing and cultivating the careers of countless others, he was a self-proclaimed "3rd generation Pop Artist," regurgitating and appropriating found imagery to comment on society. Exclusively for Summit LA17, the Modern Multiples studio is exhibiting select pieces from Richard Duardo’s body of work.
