Alice Waters is one of the most influential food activists in the world and a pioneer of the farm-to-table movement. The chef and author will join Dr. Dariush Mozaffarian, the Dean of Nutrition at Tufts University, to clarify a dietary landscape riddled with misinformation and explore how the food we eat impacts the world. This session will be moderated by longtime Summit advisor, Michael Hebb.

Let’s talk about death

Society often tries to obscure the unavoidable reality of death. Yet every wisdom tradition is shaped and informed by the unassailable fact that that we die. When the veil between this world and the next is lowered we learn about ourselves, each other, and humanity. The walk into the valley of loss and mortality is an intentional one, and this perennial Summit conversation in the round has become legendary for a reason: this is a conversation that defines who we are.
